doresell appears on the buyer's statement, charges the correct local tax, and issues the invoice in their language.

  3. 03

    You get one clean payout

Tax, fees and refunds are netted out. Your entitlement webhook fires instantly so access is never delayed.

Global tax, filed for you

We are the legal seller, so EU VAT, UK VAT, US sales tax, GST and every other regime are calculated at the buyer's rate, collected, and remitted under our registrations.

Checkout that converts

Local currencies, local payment methods, tax-inclusive display, one-click upsells and order bumps built for course launches and SaaS trials.

Subscriptions and licensing

Trials, seats, usage tiers, dunning, proration and license keys — with renewal notices that keep chargebacks off your account.

Fraud and disputes absorbed

Risk scoring on every order and full dispute representation on our acquiring account, so your processing history stays clean.

Compliant invoicing

Locally formatted, locally worded invoices with VAT number validation and B2B reverse charge handled automatically.

Revenue reporting

Merchant of record: common questions

What is a merchant of record?+

A merchant of record is the legal entity that sells your product to the customer. doresell takes on the transaction, appears on the buyer's statement, collects and remits the applicable tax, and assumes liability for fraud and chargebacks — while you keep the product, brand and customer relationship.

Do I still need to register for VAT or sales tax?+

No. Because doresell is the seller of record, sales made through our checkout are reported under our registrations. You continue to report your own income in your home country as normal.

How is this different from using Stripe directly?+

Stripe processes payments; you remain the merchant and carry the tax registrations, filings, invoicing rules and dispute liability. With a merchant of record those obligations move to the provider, which is usually cheaper once you sell across many countries.

What does doresell cost?+

Pricing is 3.9% + $0.35 per successful order, with no monthly fee, no setup cost and no charge for tax filings. The only additional fee is $30 / €25 / £25 per chargeback, depending on your payout currency.

How quickly do I get paid?+

Payouts run on a net-15 schedule in your chosen currency, with tax, processing fees and refunds already netted out and a full reconciliation report attached.

Can I sell subscriptions and one-off courses on the same account?+

Yes. One-time purchases, payment plans, subscriptions and usage-based billing can all run side by side under a single doresell account.
